The West Bengal University of Teachers’ Training, Education Planning and Administration was started with the purpose of providing quality training to prospective teachers in the state. The University started functioning from 26th March 2015 with Professor Dr. Mita Banerjee as the first Vice Chancellor.By combining global changes and Indian tradition, it is fast emerging as a University of repute for teachers’ training. It offers BEd and MEd programme both of which are of 2 years of 4 semesters each. The University also provides PhD opportunities to the students.
